Our Governing Board
School governors help the Head teacher to lead the school. The Head teacher is responsible for the day-to-day management and leadership of the school whereas the governors set the strategic direction of the school. Our board is made up of 14 members including elected parents, staff the Head teacher, co-opted governors and a local authority governor.
We operate a “Circle Governance” model. This means all meetings are full board meetings. Governors are structured as “monitoring pairs” who take their challenge and support role for a key area of school organisation, improvement or statutory compliance oversight. Governors visit the school at least once a term to undertake their role, produce a report and make recommendations to the board for future actions.
Our governors are active, informed and committed to the ethos and values of our school.
